Back in college, I went on a diet and lost a bunch of weight.

Looking back, I can’t believe how restrictive that diet was!

I was hungry every day, but more than food, I began to crave the compliments that people started giving me as my body shrank.

Naturally, the diet wasn’t sustainable.

I gained the weight back quickly and was afraid of what people might say to me now.

I was lucky, I had friends that didn’t seem to notice that my body had returned to where it was before the loss (plus a little bit more) – turns out, no one but me really cared about my size.

But I experienced years of shame and trying to “fix” myself again. Until I came across the message that RESTRICTIVE DIETS DON’T WORK, which changed everything for me.

About 2 decades later, I left my acting career and got a Master’s Degree in Nutrition, which is the REAL origin story, but my past experience has informed my current practice.

As a dietitian, I believe that healthy eating isn’t always about weight loss, and it’s NEVER about starving or depriving yourself.

If you are wanting to eat a more nutritious diet, but are struggling with restrictive messaging, maybe you’ve even tried and “failed” at diets before, I would love to work with you.
